Between You and Me

Back on the Road There’s no going back, got my bags all packed What you did was the final last straw Maybe it’s just me, oh but it can’t be I deserve you disrespecting me Didn’t think you were that guy to look in my face and lie No explanation, no apology To sit calmly by while I cried and cried Well I guess this is not meant to be I know you made a mistake, I know you cared How quickly this can change, now not a moment to spare I’m back on the road I know, you’ll stay right here When I’m behind that wheel, I’ll shed no more tears I guess I fell behind, while I tried to hide Every emotion comes out eventually And yes I crossed that bridge, and I might have burned it Well, that’s okay I’m not going back there anyway I know you made a mistake, I know you cared How quickly this can change, now not a moment to spare I’m back on the road I know, you’ll stay right here When I’m behind that wheel, I’ll shed no more tears

Rain 04:44
Rain It’s too early for rain There’s still snow on the boulevard You stand in the lane Pretend that it’s not so hard To feel anything, to feel this pain It’s too early for rain You’re not waiting for spring To feel the restless stir To feel that sting I knowing it’s all over And when summer comes, you know you’ll be gone You’re not waiting for spring Lay it all on the line now baby Lay it all out for me . . . Rivers and streams Carry our tears away Run down the streets Eating the snow away Where do they go, what do they know Little rivers of dreams Everything’s cold Even the rain that falls Even your soul Now that the love is gone And nobody knows, where this could go Everything’s cold Lay it all on the line, now baby Lay it all out for me Let me know there’s a reason, baby There’s a reason to leave . . .

Poetry 03:26
Poetry Those words you wrote down I never thought them to be true Until I heard them from you Such poetry I’ve Been thinking of since we first met And now I can’t get you outta my head And there’s a feeling I can not escape There’s a road that I wanna follow You make me feel like a real lady And so happy I cannot explain It was easy from the get-go And I never felt so much so fast And I just keep falling And such attention I do not deserve But I’m taking everything I can get It’s been a long time And there’s a feeling I cannot escape And there’s a road that I wanna follow You make me feel like a real lady And so happy I cannot explain I hope you hear this And I hope you feel the way I do ‘Cause if you don’t I’ll . . . Go back to how I used to be Run away and feel so free But I’ll miss your hands on me The way you look, and your poetry

Between You and Me I’ve never felt so mad, never felt so sad Never felt so bad You bring it out in me, what I can’t even see Until you leave me And you took it all, took it all away Yeah you took it all, you took it all away And now I can’t even see, What’s standing there between you and me Nothing has ever been so wrong Since you came along, and drew me on and on And I should have never let you hear Kept to myself my fear, never show my tears And you took it all, you took it all away Yeah you took it all, you took it all away And now I can’t even see What is standing there between you and me And now I can’t even see What is standing there between you and me Now, you’ve never been so scared You can’t go anywhere You just sit and stare And I’m restless like before And I’m not keeping score, but I’ll leave you to your war But you took it all, you took it all away Yeah you took it all, you took it all away And now I can’t even see What is standing there between you and me And now I can’t even see What is standing there between you and me Standing there between you and me Standing there between you and me

To Love You 04:15
To Love You I know that the songs you write are all about me I know that you’re fallin, it’s so easy to see I can see it in your eyes, it’s no mystery I wish I could give you everything that you want from me I kissed you when you ran away, far across the land I kissed you ‘cause I didn’t know if you’d be coming back You’ve been carrying this flame from miles away But my heart is too broken to love you this way So give me time to figure out What this love is all about You’re worth too much to mess it up So give me time, give me time to love you I know that the songs you write are lonely and cold I know in the night time you’re so easy to hold I wish that you could see how perfect it could be Walkin’ down the same path just you and me If I could give you time to figure out Would you come to know without a doubt We could beat the odds or break the rules And I will try to give you time to love me Well now the words are spoken, I guess the deed is done I wait for you to answer, I wait for you to run No I told you once, I need to look within Need time to mend this broken heart and be myself again So give me time to figure out what this love is all about You’re worth too much to mess it up So give me time, give me time, to love you

'Bout You 04:23
‘Bout You Tell me why it seems so far From here to where you are Only days, only mountains and rain To be in your arms again Your face is gone from my memory Only in photos do you see me But your voice, it can carry far Through years and years apart And I’m fighting urges to get on the road And you’re telling me that you’re feeling so old Come rescue me I want you to Come how you will, just come soon I can’t take many more nights just thinking ‘bout you Find me here in this darkening room Here in the dust and the gloom Take me away to bright sunshine We’ll let the road give us some piece of mind I’m fighting urges to get on that road And you’re telling me that you’re feeling so old So come rescue me I want you to Come how you will, just come soon I can’t take many more nights just thinking ‘bout you And I can’t take many more nights just hoping And I can’t take many more nights . . . Just thinking ‘bout you
